About DRS E-Module

This is an online training module for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening. It is meant to be used by all healthcare practitioners who provide diabetic care to the community

Objectives

  • To equip trainees with the background knowledge of diabetes mellitus and diabetic retinopathy
  • To provide trainees with the basic technical knowledge on fundus photography and visual acuity assessment
  • To guide trainees on diabetes fundus photograph grading

Pre Test and Post Test

All trainees are required to answer the Pre Test questions before embarking on the learning modules. This is just to get an overview of trainees’ background knowledge on diabetic retinopathy. 

Upon completion of the learning modules, trainees are required to answer the Post Test questions. This is important for us to learn how the learning module help trainees in achieving the learning aims.

Grading Assessment

At the end of this learning module, all trainees need to grade a number of fundus photographs in the Grading Assessment. Those who meet the passing marks will be given a privileging certificate as a Diabetic Fundus Photo Grader.

Access

Access to the learning module is password regulated.

Access password will be emailed to trainee once registration payment is verified. Registration fee:
- MOH Medical Officer (RM100)
- MOH Paramedic & Optometrist (RM50)
- Private Medical Officer (RM200)
- Private Paramedic & Optometrist (RM100)

The password given is valid only for 1 month, and each trainee is given a maximum three attempts to pass the Grading Assessment during that period.
